Scholarships and funding
Overview
Funding for our programmes is extremely competitive, but we offer a wide variety of opportunities.
Funding opportunities available from Saïd Business School are set out below. Funding is also available from the University and colleges, and loans and external funding.
You can also find information on paying your fees and living costs.
When thinking about funding, we advise:
- Don’t delay - Start researching as soon as you decide to apply. If you want to apply for a scholarship, you need to to it at the same time as you apply for a programme.
- Look around - It's very competitive. Investigate all options, including external funding not listed here.
- Don’t wait until you are at Oxford - Funding for on-course students is extremely limited. Be confident you can fund your whole course and living costs before you start.
Saïd Business School funding
All the funding listed below is offered by, or closely associated with, Saïd Business School.
For most, if you meet the eligibility criteria, all you need to do is submit your programme application by the funding deadline to be automatically considered.
Some funding requires an additional action from you. You may need to submit an essay and/or tick a box in the ‘Funding’ section of your programme application form. Please refer to each funding scheme webpage for details.
University and college funding
For many Oxford scholarships, there’s no separate scholarship application process or extra supporting documentation required. You will be automatically considered based on the information supplied in your programme application, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.
For scholarships that do require an additional application or action, use the University's Fees, funding and scholarship search to find opportunities relevant to you and your programme. You can also visit the A-Z of scholarships to view the list of centrally managed funding schemes available to graduate students.
Most college scholarships do not require you to select a particular college as your preference. They will consider all eligible applicants who apply by the relevant deadline. If successful, you will be placed at that college. We recommend you look at each college website for more information.
Loans and external funding
Loans, scholarships and grants are available from organisations external to the University. Often our students use this funding to support their course fees either partially or fully and/or their living costs.
In many cases, loan funding is dependent on your country of residence or nationality and linked to government or state-run schemes.
Paying your fees
Once you have been admitted onto one of our programmes and completed the registration process, you will receive an invoice from Saïd Business School confirming your fees.
There are several different ways to pay course fees.
Living costs
In addition to funding your programme course fees, you must be fully aware of, and consider very carefully, the likely living costs associated with your chosen programme.
Donate to scholarships
Our generous donors help to make an Oxford education available to candidates from all backgrounds. We are seeking donors interested in funding scholarships across all our programmes.
