Designed for experienced finance practitioners and managers, the programme provides its graduates with highly-developed financial acumen, strategy techniques and business knowledge.

This lively, interactive diploma provides the academic rigour of a specialised Oxford masters-level qualification in a format that is designed to suit busy executives. The programme consists of four modules, over one year.

  • Business finance (19-22 April 2023)
  • Corporate valuation (5-8 July 2023)
  • Financial strategies for growth (27-30 September 2023)

On completion of the four modules and related assessments, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to make high-level strategic decisions and drive the financial performance of your organisation.

    Scholarships and funding


    We are committed to supporting and promoting diversity and inclusion.

    We offer one £10,000 Women's Scholarship in each class, this is designed to support the progression of talented women into senior roles.

    We also offer two £10,000 Director's Awards, these are open to candidates who can effectively demonstrate how they will enhance the learning experience of the cohort through the diverse experiences they have accumulated to date.

    The Diploma and the Executive MBA

    The Diploma in Financial Strategy provides a proven pathway to the Oxford Executive MBA.

    Although the diploma is a self-standing University of Oxford qualification, it also provides a pathway to the Oxford Executive MBA. Both programmes are assessed at the same academic level and diploma participants, therefore, receive exemptions from the four equivalent EMBA modules, as well as a fee reduction.

    This programme is designed for experienced professionals, with 5 or more years' work experience.

    Participants are typically finance professionals, and general managers looking to equip themselves to lead the financial and business strategy of their organisation

    The programme fee covers tuition costs, course materials, essential reading texts, assessments and associate college membership. Lunch and refreshments are provided daily and there is an evening dinner at a different Oxford college during each module.

    Accommodation is not included in the fee. You should make arrangements to stay in Oxford during the modules.
