Profile
Peter Hanke is a conductor of classical music and an associate of the Centre for Art and Leadership at the Copenhagen Business School.
An experienced classical music conductor and performer, Peter investigates the connections between leadership and music, philosophy and performance theory.
Since 2003 Peter has delivered numerous experiential learning sessions on conducting leadership at Saïd Business School, including sessions on the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme. He runs similar artistic workshops focusing on leadership from the conductor’s point of view at many other business schools and corporate leadership academies around the world.
As a conductor, Peter has worked with the Voces Academy, Carmina Chamber Choir, Contemporary Opera Denmark and the Danish Radio Choir, among others. He has also been an external associate professor at Copenhagen University, producer for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Executive Director of the theatre company, Hotel Pro Forma, and Head of Events at the Art Museum, Arken.
Peter is the Artistic Director for the Voces Academy, teaching the next generation of choral conductors and a member of the non-government organisation, the European Cultural Parliament.
Peter holds a BA in Musicology from the University of Copenhagen and an MA in Conducting from the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He received the Einar Hansens Research Award in 2005.
