Profile

Mark is an independent business advisor and executive coach. He is one of the founding partners of The Berkeley Partnership, a management consultancy based in London and New York, where he worked for more than 30 years before stepping back from the business in 2021.

As a consultant, he has worked across a wide range of industry sectors, advising organisations on strategy as well as initiating and leading major programmes of transformational change. Many of his clients are multinational or household names, including Prudential, Barclays, NatWest, Lloyd’s of London, Hiscox, Unilever, Allen & Overy, Roche, AstraZeneca, GSK, Burberry, Marks & Spencer, Cathay Pacific and Booking.com. Since retiring from The Berkeley Partnership, he has continued to work with a number of organisations advising on pre- and post-merger and acquisition due diligence, strategy, operations and organisational behaviour.

As a qualified executive coach, Mark has helped a wide range of business leaders to address opportunities to improve both their personal and organisation’s performance.

He has worked with the School in a number of areas, including:

  • delivering custom executive education programmes
  • providing input to the Oxford Leading Professional Services Firms and MBA programmes
  • involvement in a research project entitled 'The impact of coaching skills in professional services, reimagining the trusted advisor'.
