Profile
Lucy is a cultural entrepreneur and is the Founder and Director of Cultural Associates Oxford (CAO), a creative management consultancy, drawing on years of experience from across the cultural, creative, business, and higher education sectors.
She supports leaders to think and work imaginatively and encourages approaches that utilise best practice from both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.
Lucy originally trained and worked as a curator before moving into workforce and organisational development roles in the arts and heritage sector. She worked for the University of Oxford’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums (GLAM) from 2012 to 2022, where she was Programme Director for Oxford Cultural Leaders an executive leadership programme for the creative and cultural sectors. She was also Head of Partnerships and Programmes for GLAM, where she worked with the Ashmolean Museum, Bodleian Libraries, Oxford University Garden, Harcourt Arboretum, History of Science Museum, Oxford University Museum of Natural History, Pitt River’s Museum and the divisional office team.
Lucy was also part of the Saïd Business School’s research team exploring the changing expectations and demands of cultural and creative leadership. She is co-author of The Museum Leader’s Report and Director of the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme.
Lucy is a board member of Neon Dance, an internationally renowned company which experiments with the intersection between digital and art. She is also a trained performance coach and action learning set facilitator.
