Loizos Heracleous is Professor of Strategy and Organisation at the Warwick Business School, and Associate Fellow of Templeton College and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
He earned his Ph.D. at the Judge Institute of Management Studies, University of Cambridge and is the author or co-author of Strategy and Organization: Realizing Strategic Management, (2003, Cambridge University Press); Business Strategy in Asia: A Casebook, 4th edition (2010, Cengage Learning); Discourse, Interpretation, Organization (2006, Cambridge University Press), and Flying high in a competitive industry: Cost effective service excellence at Singapore Airlines, 2nd edition (2009, McGraw-Hill).
Loizos serves on the editorial boards of Organization Studies, Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, the Journal of Management Studies and the Asia Pacific Journal of Management. His research has been published in over 50 research papers in international journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Human Relations, and Journal of Applied Behavioral Science.
His research was honored by three Best Paper Awards from the US Academy of Management; in 1999 (on globalisation), 2004 (on organisation development), and 2006 (on corporate governance). He has been listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in the World since 2003. Loizos has worked with senior management in several major corporations to design and deliver executive development initiatives.
