Profile

Diana Biggs is a global executive working at the intersection of technology innovation and financial services.

Most recently, she spent three and a half years at HSBC, firstly as Head of Digital Innovation for the Retail Bank and Wealth Management business in UK & Europe, and later as the first Global Head of Innovation for HSBC Private Banking. In these roles, she led the creation of innovation teams, built and tested new capabilities and propositions, and oversaw FinTech partnerships.

Diana is a current Board Member of the World Economic Forum’s Digital Leaders of Europe Community and served as a Board Member of the Open Identity Exchange (OIX) from 2018 - 2019. Her previous roles include Vice President of Growth and Partnerships for Uphold, Chief Strategy Officer of social enterprise Soko, and Management Consultant with Oliver Wyman Financial Services.

Diana is a frequent keynote speaker on the subjects including blockchain technology, AI and the digitalisation of financial services. She is passionate about the intentional, ethical use of technology and the need for inclusive innovation.

Research

Diana's writing on innovation and financial services have appeared in Sifted, the Huffington Post, the World Economic Forum, Springer Publishing's 'Banking Beyond Banks' and in the forthcoming issue of the Journal of Digital Banking. Teaching

Diana is Head Tutor for the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme, an immersive 6-week online modular programme designed for business leaders and innovators to learn how the potential of Blockchain technology is being realised by all sectors, including the likes of energy, telecoms and pharmaceuticals. Diana regularly teaches on the Fintech elective for the MBA and EMBA programmes.
