Profile

Amanda is a retail consultant who specialises in strategic evaluation, market entry assessment and business plans.

She has strong analytical, creative and communication skills, which are particularly prized by companies in transition. Her open and analytical approach provides practical help on market entry into new sectors or geographic markets and during periods of business development or realignment. Amanda has experience across a range of retail and consumer-related sectors, from corporate to government; financial services to charities.

Amanda started her career in the corporate sector with J Sainsbury and then Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank) before moving into management consultancy with the retail specialists Management Horizons Europe. There, as an executive director, she set up the company's financial division, providing ‘commercial due diligence’ to banks, funders and venture capitalists interested in investing in the retail sector.

In her role at Saïd Business School, Amanda is Industry Advisor for Consumer Marketing and Retail. She coaches on the MBA, Executive MBA, executive open programmes and custom client Executive Education programmes.

She is also a growth expert on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK Programme.

Amanda is a trustee of Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

She has a degree in economics from University College London.
