Alison Small

With 25 years in business banking and finance, Alison started her career at Lloyds Bank before moving to Union Discount, then to Venture (now ABN). In 1998, she was appointed a Director of ABN AMRO Commercial Finance PLC, where she set up a fast-growing and successful business unit and also headed sales and business development. In 2006, Alison was appointed Managing Director of City Invoice Finance, an ABN acquired company, where she successfully managed its cultural and operational integration.

In 2015, Alison left banking and founded a consulting company, Realise Strategy & Consulting Limited, which provides consultancy services to support financial and business services companies modernise and innovate. Alison works closely with management teams and end clients to help shape, validate and implement their ideas for growth.

A graduate in Economics and Econometrics from Leeds University, Alison holds a Master's Diploma in Strategy and Innovation. She has recently completed an Executive MBA at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Alison has a wealth of practical experience, having worked with thousands of businesses across a wide range of sectors. In particular, she is a passionate supporter of early-stage and growth businesses.
