Workshop 2: Exponential Technologies - How are AI, Blockchain and machine learning being used to address some of the world-scale challenges and how are the new careers in these fields?
Most of us have heard about ‘Blockchain’, a highly secure way to structure data in a decentralised ledger, but know little about how it is used in the impact space. In this workshop, we will explore key questions, such as, what are some current applications of Blockchain and other exponential technologies for social good? You will join case discussions and work in a challenge to support leading organisations in this field.
Workshop 3: An “Unworkshop” session on Corporate Venturing - The rise of Incubators, Accelerators and CVC.
Corporate venturing continues to be an important funding source for startup companies. Are corporate VCs, incubators and accelerators sourcing start-ups that are addressing the real challenges in the SDGs? Are they taking action in balancing gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion and geographic origin of their stellar founders?
Workshop 4: Problem Solving & Design Thinking - How to apply unconventional frameworks to solve social problems
How do we create tools and interventions that can be measurable and results-driven? Consulting firms draw upon different methodologies to solve impact problems – from design thinking to strategic planning. In this session, consultants from a leading impact consulting firm will share some real-cases and the frameworks they applied, (sometimes unconventional) to help clients to address their big questions.
