About the programme

The Fabric of Innovation is a uniquely practical innovation management programme designed and delivered by the Entrepreneurship Centre at Saïd Business School. This co-curricular programme has been created for those who want to develop innovation management skills and gain practical innovation experience in implementing innovation systems. You will learn and apply cutting-edge frameworks on innovation systems to real business environments.

The programme is open to current or recently graduated (past three years) postgraduate Oxford Saïd students. The majority of the programme will be held in person, please check the dates before applying.

The frameworks offered include:

  • defining an innovation thesis
  • building an innovation funnel
  • managing a portfolio
  • AI application in innovation management

You will finish the programme with completed live case studies, a toolkit of project innovation tools for lifelong learning, a community of like-minded innovators and industry inspiration from top innovative corporations.

The programme is also open to innovators at mid-market companies to act as case studies. The criteria we seek are:

  • a mid-market organisation
  • with at least one full-time member of staff working in an innovation role
  • with scope for students to create, shape and influence the innovation strategy and design at the organisation
  • with resources to implement the workings of the students after the course.

Middle market companies will be invited to take part in live case studies for you to apply your learnings in real time. Businesses will benefit not only from the work completed and access to Saïd Business School talent, but will also be able to learn directly from the innovation framework facilitators by sitting in the masterclasses.
