Research Administrator

Grade 5: £25,482 - £30,395 p.a.

We are seeking a Research Administrator to join our team located at the School’s Park End Street site. You will work as part of the Research Support team within Faculty Services.

Reporting to the School’s Research Manager, you will provide a diverse range of administrative support for faculty, researchers and staff, and have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in other parts of the School and in the wider University. You will work with applicants to prepare funding applications and create costings using the University’s bespoke software (training will be provided). You will support applications for ethical approval and provide support to the School’s internal research funding schemes.

The successful candidate will ideally have recent and relevant experience of research administration. You will have excellent numerical/financial skills and the ability to manipulate and present data, along with proven communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working collaboratively with staff at all levels. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and will be adaptable and able to respond at short notice to urgent matters at the same time as progressing ongoing projects.
