Tim Jenkinson is Europe’s leading authority on private equity and the Director of the Oxford Private Equity Institute. A renowned and prize-winning educator, he developed Oxford’s MBA course on Private Equity with top industry practitioners, which has become the most popular elective 2000.
He was recently a key witness to the UK Parliament’s enquiry into private equity and is a frequent contributor to the media and industry conferences. Professor Jenkinson has published research in the leading academic journals and is the author of several books on economics and finance. His research is widely referred to in industry analysis relating to Private Equity and IPOs.
Professor Jenkinson teaches Entrepreneurial Finance and having been on been on the board of various start-up businesses, like to practice first hand. He is currently Chairman of the economic consulting firm Oxera, and non-executive director of the London listed investment fund PSource Structured Debt.
