The Oxford approach
The Oxford experience is challenging, inspirational and stimulating, our programmes do not provide any easy answers. Instead, senior decision makers and young managers alike are encouraged to question the usual management models and ways of thinking, to widen their perspectives, and to understand their own challenges and capabilities.
Participants are immersed in varied activities, teaching styles and experiences to maximise personal interaction, debate and discussion. Tutorials and lectures combine with non-traditional learning exercises such as 'action learning' projects, improvisation, game-playing, and exploring participants' personal responses to literature.
While our programmes benefit from being delivered in state of the art modern executive facilities, we are firmly embedded within the University of Oxford with its rich heritage and traditions. Participants are invited to dinner at one of the historic colleges, and we typically organise a guided evening tour of the historic city. We also embed university resources into our programmes, running sessions at the Ashmolean Museum, St Mary’s church where the University was founded and elsewhere.
