Expert careers advice

The Careers Centre works to ensure that all its activities are tailored to meet the needs of international business. Former and current senior executives from leading firms across a broad range of sectors act as Industry Advisors in partnership with the School, and work directly with students.

All our careers staff have excellent connections with a range of financial organisations in:

  • investment banking
  • asset management
  • private equity and venture capital
  • risk management
  • investment consulting
  • strategy consulting

Introduction to careers in finance

Prior to the formal start of the course in late September, the careers service runs a pre-course module in finance for those interested in pursuing a career in the field. Led by careers service staff, sector consultants, and practitioners from the financial industry, the event includes:

  • introduction to the industry
  • roles available
  • schedule of recruiter and practitioner panels
  • guide to the selection process used by finance firms.

The pre-course modules for 2017 are confirmed and will take place in Hong Kong on 28 - 31 July and in Oxford on 12 - 14 September
