Oxford Diploma in Organisational Leadership
A good undergraduate degree (at least 2:1) is usually required. Applicants may also be considered if they hold a relevant professional qualification.
The programme is designed for experienced executives with a good first degree or equivalent, and at least five years’ work experience, though typically participants will have had at least 10 years of work experience and some experience of the challenges of leadership. Participants are likely to be middle or senior managers seeking to broaden their knowledge and skill set and to equip themselves to take a more active role in developing and leading the business strategy of their organisation.
There are no age restrictions, but applicants need to demonstrate they have the intellectual ability and relevant professional experience to join in strategic level group discussions.
You must be able to demonstrate at least some senior-level management experience which will enable you to take part in high-level discussions on leadership and management within the programme and to complete the programme assessments. The programme has been designed for those with significant leadership experience or for senior-level executives who want to develop an advanced leadership understanding to benefit their organisation’s success and competitiveness.
Please complete the online form. You will be asked to outline your objectives for the programme and to prepare a personal statement of up to 500 words. Please provide details of two people who will be contacted to supply a standard reference form. All applications are subject to review and approval by the admissions committee.
Please be aware that we operate a rolling admissions process with deadlines throughout the year, which you can view on our How to Apply page.
We recommend that you apply early in the year as:
• We cannot guarantee that there will be places left by the end of the admissions process.
• Attendance at all modules is compulsory, so an early offer will enable effective planning.
If an admissions deadline is stated on our website and this date has passed, it will still be possible to process your application if there are places available.
As part of the application process you will be required to submit a 500 word personal statement. This should focus on specific current or emergent issues that you think the Diploma will help address in your organisation.
There is a Scholarship for Women available for the Diploma in Organisational Leadership. Candidates who have submitted a completed application and receive an offer will automatically be considered for this Scholarship. To find out more, please visit the Scholarship for Women page.
Visit the Professional and Career Development Loans website for more information.
