Applying to the partnering Master’s degree of your choice

Each of our partnering Master's programmes has its own application form, deadlines and requirements. Deadlines are scheduled in November, January and March, but not all programmes accept applications for all three deadlines. More information on individual Master’s deadlines and application requirements are available on each department’s website. If you wish to be considered for a University scholarship during the first year of your Oxford 1+1 MBA, your application must be submitted by your Master programme's January deadline.

    Final decision

After all MBA interviews have been conducted, the admissions committee will decide which candidates will receive an offer to join the MBA programme. Final decisions will be emailed to all candidates on the final decision deadline of the stage in which you have applied.

After your interview there are three possible outcomes:

After all MBA interviews have been conducted, the admissions committee will decide which candidates will receive an offer to join the MBA programme. Final decisions will be emailed to all candidates on the final decision deadline of the stage in which you have applied.

The outcome of your separate application to your chosen 1+1 partner programme will be communicated separately to you by the relevant academic Department under their published schedule.

    1. If you are admitted to both programmes you will then become a 1+1 MBA student.

1+1 MBA students stay in the same college for the two years, you choice of college will be determined by the partner programme. The Admissions team will guide you through this process.

College life will enrich your time at Oxford, offering you the chance to socialise with students and faculty from diverse academic backgrounds. Colleges are a focus for sporting and cultural activity: teams compete with each other in sports such as rowing, cricket, and rugby; plays and musicals are staged in college halls and gardens; and concerts take place in college chapels and quadrangles. Whichever college you are admitted to, you will develop a strong loyalty that will stay with you way beyond graduation. Colleges have their own alumni societies and professional networks, which complement those offered by Oxford University and Saïd Business School.

    2. If you are admitted to the MSc but not the MBA

You are welcome to accept your MSc offer.  If you would like to try again to apply for the MBA programme you are welcome to re-apply during your Msc. If you were not totally suited to the MBA programme at the time of applying, we would like to encourage you to re-apply in the future.

    3. If you were admitted to the MBA but not your MSc of choice

You are welcome to join the MBA programme in the first year and will not be a 1+1 MBA student
