Due to the continuing growth in our Executive Degree programmes, Oxford Saïd Business School is recruiting for an Executive Degrees Programme Manager.
The Executive Degrees Programme Manager is a highly responsible role within the Student & Programme Services (SPS) unit of 100+ professional staff. The SPS unit was established in April 2015 to provide seamless quality in the delivery of the student experience and incorporates Admissions, Full-time and Executive Degrees, Student Welfare and Career Development.
The Executive Degrees team manage the School’s world-class Executive MBA (EMBA - FT Ranking 2016 - 1st in UK and 4th in World for a single school) and Masters in Major Programme Management (MMPM) and Postgraduate Diplomas in Strategy & Innovation; Organisational Leadership; Financial Strategy and Global Business.
The key areas of responsibility of this role are to provide comprehensive project management to meet operational quality assurance standards. Programme Managers are responsible for timetabling, the launch of new programmes and the set-up of each module from induction through programme delivery. Event Management of Welcome and End of Course Ceremonies at the Sheldonian Theatre, gala College dinners, extracurricular activities and for EMBA, overseas modules in China, India, USA and South Africa will be required, so flexible working to provide programme support at evenings, weekends and overseas will be required from time to time.
The Programme Manager plays a crucial role in the success of each programme as their performance in this role impacts the overall experience of the students. One of the key requirements for this post is the ability to resolve issues in a timely way which is sensitive both to student needs and University requirements. Possessing the ability to stay calm under pressure, you will demonstrate initiative and possess excellent organisational skills.
You will need to be confident collaborating both with colleagues at all levels and external stakeholders. This includes maintaining positive relationships with multinational and highly articulate students. Therefore, it is essential that you are able to communicate to a high, professional standard, both in a written and oral capacity. You will need to be flexible in adapting to the requirements of the programme and its Programme Director.
