This Is What Happens When Women Read Scholarship
Overview
We live in a world where millions of women are still told what they can and cannot read.
The This Is What Happens When Women Read scholarship seeks to identify and support women who have faced and overcome obstacles to their education, due to gender-based discrimination. This Is What Happens When Women Read seeks to harness the power of world-class education to equip women with the knowledge and confidence to challenge oppressive structures and thrive as independent thinkers and leaders.
Founder Julianna Glasse brings together emerging voices for liberation – women with a track record of academic excellence and a commitment to speaking out about their feminist ideals. Scholars can expect to participate in incredible events and should be willing to join Julianna and others on platforms for speaking and writing, in a community of clarion voices calling for autonomy.
