Oxford-Wanakaset Women’s Scholarship

Overview

Wanakaset is a non-profit organisation that was founded by an alumnus of Saïd Business School’s 2000/01 MBA class.

The ultimate objective of Wanakaset is to create an ecologically balanced environment, with the greatest possible varieties of trees, plants, animals and micro-organisms, where human activities are in harmony with nature.

In support of the Oxford Saïd's commitment to greater gender equality, recognising this as a key ingredient to a more balanced society, this scholarship was created to support a female MBA student.

The scholarship was created on Oxford Saïd Giving Day, 2019, where our donor presented a matched-funding challenge to other alumni, to inspire them to follow this example and donate to women’s scholarships. Additionally, Wanakaset pledged to plant one tree for every hundred pounds raised on Giving Day.
