Tell us a little about your career background?
Prior to my MBA I worked in the not-for-profit sector, most recently leading a team of account managers in the corporate partnerships team of an international NGO.
Following my graduation in September 2023, I joined BCG where I now work as a Consultant.
Why was an Oxford MBA important to help you understand a global view of business where markets, trade and work are transforming at a rapid rate?
I have always been passionate about creating a positive impact and I believe that business can – and must – play a key role in making the world a better place.
The Oxford MBA was important for me to gain the skills and business knowledge I needed to enable me to make an even bigger impact through my career.
Turning to your personal career journey, did you know where you were you wanted to head in your career before your MBA?
When I started my MBA, I was still exploring different career paths and learning more about the range of options available.
Through my research and holding the Co-Chair position of the Consulting Oxford Business Network, I learnt more about the consulting industry and was interested in the diversity and variety of work in the field. Being able to have a tangible impact through my career was still an important factor for me, so I prioritised firms whose values aligned with mine.
How did the resources and opportunities of an Oxford Saïd education and career development assist you?
The Careers team supported me every step of the way in my journey through resources, advice and knowledge sharing. Working closely with them, I was able to navigate the application process – their help with mock interviews, CV reviews and case preparation was invaluable.
Now you have taken your next career step, what recommendation would you give to incoming students embarking on their MBA programme?
Engage with the team and do so early on. Even if you do not have a clear idea yet of your post-MBA plans, the team can help you think through options and give you guidance to help you structure your thinking.
