Oxford Saïd lifted the MBA championship trophy at MBAT 2018, claiming victory at the annual sporting event for MBAs for a second year in a row.
Around 190 of Saïd Business School’s current cohort of MBA students joined over 1,500 MBA students from across the world to participate at MBAT.
The three-day sporting MBA Tournament (MBAT), which has been held each year at HEC Paris since its conception in 1991, is the largest gathering of MBA students in the world, and provides MBAs with an opportunity to network with sponsors and peers as well as demonstrate their sporting ability. It offers competitions in 25 different sports ranging from fusion dance and dodgeball through to more traditional events in track and field, rugby and swimming, with top business schools and universities from around the world participating this year, including rivals London Business School, IMD and Cambridge Judge.
Oxford Saïd’s victory was a result of 15 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze medals. The School’s participation was largely organised by MBA Sports Rep Camila Toscana Rodriguez.
‘My favourite part of the competition was seeing everyone come together, collaborate and be one big family,’ said Camila.
