Two new dedicated spaces at Oxford Saïd for more international art and culture exchanges
A new art space has been inaugurated at Oxford Saïd to support more international art exchanges, and to enrich our community by drawing attention to the connections between art, business and society through a different cultural lens.
The new Zach Du Chao International Gallery will be located between the East and West Wing at the School. As an integral part of the venue for our Art@Saïd series, this space will be dedicated to hosting international art exhibitions and guest talks every year with a focus on promoting diversity and inspiring our community to reflect on social challenges in various parts of the world from new perspectives.
The gallery is the first new space supported by this initiative, followed by an Asian-themed corner of the garden, which is currently in the planning stages. The Zach Du Chao Asian Corner embedded in the garden will allow members of the School community to immerse themselves in a serene natural environment and interact and collaborate with their peers from all over the world.
This initiative is a partnership between Oxford Saïd and Zach Du Chao. Mr. Du is an active member of the Chinese philanthropic community and is a former Youth Leader at the BOAO Forum for Asia. He serves as Champion for Children for UNICEF China and is the Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Foundation for the Prevention of STD and AIDS.
