A member of our faculty and a 2022 MBA alumna have been recognised by the Financial Times in the fourth year of their esteemed awards.

Professor Ludovic Phalippou and Rebecca Keeley, a former MBA student and Founder and Chief Executive of Yarn Speech, an organisation committed to improving access for Australian children and families to speech pathology services, were commended in this year’s Financial Times Responsible Business Education Awards.

Professor of Financial Economics Ludovic was recognised for his tremendously innovative work, creating a cinematised financial case study for the silver screen. His project, Redeveloping Hope, has already won a film award, at November’s Hague International Film Festival, and this week, the FT maintained his work ‘stood out’ among the submissions to the awards.

This recognition underscores the importance of promoting ethical standards and transparency in the financial industry. I am committed to continuing my research and advocacy for responsible business practices.

Commenting on the recognition that he received from the FT, Ludovic said: ‘I am incredibly happy and honoured to be commended in the FT Responsible Business Awards. This recognition underscores the importance of promoting ethical standards and transparency in the financial industry. I am committed to continuing my research and advocacy for responsible business practices.’

Rebecca, who was a member of the 2022 Oxford MBA programme and developed the business as part of the Entrepreneurship Project said: ‘Yarn is reshaping how Australian children access the critical early intervention they need to find their voice. Being recognised by the FT in their global responsible business education awards is further evidence of the fantastic education provided by both the MBA at Saïd Business School, but also how the co-curricular programmes such as the Finance Lab build on these foundations to enable impact leaders to feel equipped to take on some of the systemic challenges faced worldwide. I am so grateful for the recognition and the ongoing amplification of our voice, as we help children to find theirs.’
