Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and IDEALITY Technology Group announced a new scholarship.
The ‘Oxford-IDEALITY Scholarship’ will support Chinese students undertaking the Oxford MBA and will award part funding to outstanding candidates applying to the Oxford MBA in the next five academic years (2016/17 to 2018/19).
The scholarship is designed to give Chinese students access to the Oxford MBA programme and build a professional and personal development plan to support their career progression.
‘Ensuring that the School can attract and support the most talented students is crucial to us as a world-class business school community, embedded in a world-class university, tackling world-scale problems,’ said Peter Tufano, Dean of Oxford Saïd. ’We couldn’t assemble the best students across the globe without the generous support of donors like Ideality Technology Group.’
Naixi Wang was working as a research analyst at the International Monetary Fund when she learned that she had been awarded an Oxford-Ideality Scholarship for the 2016-17 MBA. ‘I was thrilled to get the scholarship,’ she said. ’I am very excited to meet the other fellow scholars at Oxford where we can interact and learn from each other. I want to combine the experience I will gain at Oxford with my professional knowledge, to develop my career and contribute to the financial stability in the world.’
Ran Jiao, an Oxford MBA alumnus from 2014-2015, who is also Executive Assistant to the Chairman and Head of International M&A of IDEALITY Group, reflected on how his time at Oxford helped him: ‘My education at Saïd Business School not only equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to make more informed business decisions, but gave me lifelong friendships. I hope the Oxford-IDEALITY Scholarship can encourage more Chinese applicants to take part in this truly transformational experience.’
‘The Oxford-IDEALITY promotes the spirit of pursuing one’s dreams, exploring knowledge and serving the world. We want to support Chinese students at the University of Oxford to learn, develop and apply their studies to make positive contributions to humanity,’ concludes Dr Jasper Jia Liang Jiao, Chairman of IDEALITY Group.
