Oxford Saïd is delighted to have risen from 11th to fifth in the annual Poets&Quants MBA rankings of programmes that are taught outside of the United States.

The Poets&Quants ranking draws on the results of several prestigious international rankings. This year’s composite list includes one consequential change: the addition of LinkedIn’s MBA ranking which for the first time included business schools outside the United States.

This year the School rose in both The Financial Times global MBA and Bloomberg BusinessWeek rankings as well as featuring 15th in the first LinkedIn MBA ranking. The Financial Times weighs 60%, while both Bloomberg Businessweek and LinkedIn account for 20% of the ranking.

All of us at Saïd Business School extend our thanks to Poets&Quants for recognising the excellence of our staff and faculty and their dedication to delivering a world-leading MBA programme, and of course our brilliant students, who benefit from a diverse range of rich intellectual and social experiences from across the University, including the uniqueness of Oxford’s many distinguished Colleges.

Commenting on this year's results, Poets&Quants said: ‘Oxford’s Saïd Business School climbed into the top five, driven by higher rankings in The Financial Times and LinkedIn. The School’s reputation for producing versatile leaders with global perspectives is gaining traction.’ It points out that, of a cohort of 348, ‘a mere 3% of the class is from the UK. Students represent 59 nationalities, averaging six years of work experience.’

It’s promising to see this upwards trajectory across a number of key rankings that take into account a wide variety of factors. We are working hard to build on these results in 2025.

Amy Major

MBA Programme Director

The success follows our improved ranking to 13th place in the recent  Financial Times (FT) European Business Schools 2024 rankings.

Over the past 12 months our highlights across various Financial Times rankings include:

  • Third globally among Executive MBA programmes for aims achieved by our students
  • Our ESG (environmental, social, and governance) and net zero teaching score in the MBA rankings moving from 8th to 5th in the world
  • Executive Education Open programmes ranked first in the world for international learning locations thanks, in part, to the global nature of our online participants
  • The Oxford Executive MBA rising in our research ranking, which will also contribute to the upcoming MBA ranking results in February, up 12 places to 17th globally from 29th in 2023
