Associate Fellow Andromachi Athanasopoulou received an MBA from Saïd Business School before becoming an academic
Having fallen in love with Oxford and the world of academia while studying the MBA programme at Saïd Business School, Andromachi Athanasopoulou – contributing author of ‘Claiming the corner office: Female CEO careers and implications for leadership development’ – describes how she followed her passions from MBA candidate to Associate Fellow.
Andromachi caught the academia bug while studying her MBA, MSc, and DPhil at Oxford. ‘I came here to do the MBA and enjoyed Oxford, Saïd Business School and studying here so much that it was the trigger. I thought, “I do like academia, I do like studying, so why not make that a profession?”’ She fell in love with the community at Oxford – from those within the School to the wider University. The staff, faculty, and her fellow students were incredibly supportive and many have become life-long friends.
