Our award-winning faculty member, Associate Professor Agni Orfanouda, has contributed to a major new AI report for the Greek government.
Governments worldwide are racing to harness the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with profound implications for their economy, educational and healthcare systems, innovation and even monetary policy. Among these nations, the Greek government is one of the first to publish an AI roadmap, based on the investigations of a high-level committee – which included Oxford Saïd’s own esteemed Associate Professor, Agni.
The management operations expert was last year asked to join the committee, which was aimed at assessing the readiness of Greece for AI - providing guidance and advice for policymakers. The 150-page report: A Blueprint for Greece’s AI Transformation, was published earlier this month. Just before Christmas, Agni was also one of just six researchers to win an inaugural Oxford Saïd Research Excellence Awards for her work on machine learning.
