First global LinkedIn MBA ranking places Oxford Saïd 15th in the world

Oxford Saïd has been ranked 15th in the world for our MBA programme by LinkedIn, placing fourth in Europe and second in the UK, with a focus on alumni outcomes.

This is the first global business school rankings published by LinkedIn and is based on their exclusive quantitative data of registered LinkedIn users. It analyses data on the career outcomes of millions of MBA alumni across the world, considering job placement, advancement to senior-level positions, network strength and gender parity.

The list of 100 business schools features MBA programmes that are full-time and accredited by AACSB or Equis. To be eligible, programmes must have at least 1,500 total alumni, with at least 400 of them graduating within the recent cohort (2019-2023). The list, created by the LinkedIn News team, uses exclusive platform data to rank the MBA programmes that best set their alumni up for career success. 

LinkedIn's ranking highlighted that 'Founder' is the most common job title amongst our MBA alumni community, underscoring the entrepreneurial spirit that sets Oxford Saïd apart. Through our Entrepreneurship Centre, and a vibrant culture of innovation across the University of Oxford, we're setting aspiring entrepreneurs up for success.

The Top MBA Programmes methodology is based on five key pillars:

  1. Hiring and demand tracks job placement rates and labour market demand, measuring the percentage of recent graduate cohorts from 2019-2023 who landed a full-time job within the same year of graduation, in addition to recruiter outreach across recent cohorts at each programme.
  2. Ability to advance measures promotion rates among recent graduate cohorts, in addition to how quickly alumni have reached director or VP-level leadership roles.
  3. Network strength measures network depth, or how connected alumni of the same program are to each other; network quality of recent graduate cohorts, measured by connections to director-level professionals or higher; and the network growth rate of recent cohorts since starting the programme.
  4. Leadership potential measures the percentage of alumni with post-MBA C-Suite or entrepreneurship experiences.
  5. Diversity measures gender parity within recent graduate cohorts.
