On making the shortlist for the FT Business Book of the Year for 2023, Bent said: ‘With the book, we’re trying to take thinking about project leadership to a new and different level. We see the FT shortlisting as confirmation that we might have succeeded, at least a little.'

‘I don’t think a book on projects has ever been on the FT shortlist before. And you certainly don’t often see such books in direct competition with authors like Walter Isaacson, as we are now with his book about Elon Musk.
