Arunma Oteh, Officer of the Order of Niger and Executive in Residence at Oxford Saïd has today launched her new book, All Hands on Deck at the School.

All Hands on Deck explores the resilience of capital markets and how they can drive transformative growth. Utilising her 33 years of experience in finance, investments, development banking, and global business, which has enabled Arunma to become a global leader in finance. She is a former Treasurer of the World Bank, Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria, Group Vice President and Group Treasurer, African Development Bank Group, and has held her position at Oxford Saïd since 2019. 

The book offers actionable insights and visionary strategies to the reader, featuring a compelling roadmap for inclusive prosperity and is both a guide and a call to action for building strong economies.

Ahead of the launch at the Park End Street site of Oxford Saïd, Arunma, a member of the London Stock Exchange Africa Advisory Group, said: ‘I am honoured to host my book launch at Saïd Business School during an event that is centred on ‘Better leadership for a better world’ and capital markets. This event is vital because it creates a platform for dialogue, innovation, and collaboration among policymakers, investors, and market participants. It's an opportunity to exchange ideas, tackle challenges, and showcase solutions that can deepen market development. These conversations are crucial to shaping policies and practices that make our markets catalysts for growth and shared prosperity.’

I am honoured to launch my book at Saïd Business School during an event centred on ‘Better leadership for a better world’ and capital markets. It creates a platform for dialogue, innovation and collaboration among policymakers, investors and market participants.

Arunma's research areas of focus are capital markets, economic development and financial technology. Arunma advises the School on Africa, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Sustainability, and most recently co-chaired the School’s Anti-Racism Initiative Taskforce.

She is a passionate advocate for innovative finance and sustainable development and is committed to balancing profitability with purposeful impact, making her a sought-after leader for board roles in diverse organisations.
