Grade 8: £40,792 - £48,677 with a discretionary range to £53,174 p.a.
Said Business School’s Corporate Marketing and Communications team’s remit is to build the reputation of the School and provide expertise, tools and support to a number of internal teams including: Executive Education Programmes (Custom, Open and Executive MBA): MBA and EMBA Programmes; Student Services, Faculty Research and External Relations.
The School is undergoing an exciting period of change. We are keen to improve our information sharing and communications amongst our employees, students and wider community to support our growth ambitions. We are introducing new technologies and initiatives, evolving our communications channels and launching a number of big-ticket projects and programmes – all of which require communicating to our internal stakeholders. We are therefore seeking an experienced and driven individual to help us achieve our ambitions and build an informed and motivating internal culture.
The Head of Internal Communications will lead on the creation and delivery of communication and engagement plans to support the brand and communications strategies of the Business School. Responsible for influencing senior stakeholders on best practice communication approaches and tactics, the role holder will develop and deliver tools to support programme and project specific engagement activities, as well as ‘business as usual’ communications. A key objective will be to align specific messaging to the broader ‘Oxford Saïd story’ and business strategy.
Developing and leading the School’s wider content strategy will also form part of this role in addition to initiating and managing the corporate responsibility programme.
Reporting into the Marketing and Communications Director, the Head of Internal Communications will be a senior member of the Corporate Marketing and Communications team, working with colleagues in other functions (HR, Student Services, Programme Recruitment, Estates etc.) to ensure all external communications and marketing activities are disseminated effectively internally. The Head of Internal Communications will also work closely with the Dean and senior leadership team to ensure key strategic messages are disseminated to and understood by key stakeholders and the School community.
