Annual awards

Our annual awards, launched in 2010, recognise and reward significant scholarly contributions to the literature on corporate reputation.

There are two awards: Best Published Paper and Best Dissertation. Each is worth £1,000 and includes a funded trip to Oxford to attend the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation annual Reputation Symposium in August/September. The awards are decided by a committee of scholars affiliated with the Centre. 

To be eligible for the Best Paper award, a full-length paper must have been published in an ISI-indexed, peer-reviewed academic journal. 

Best Dissertation award 2016

The Centre has established this award to recognize and reward significant scholarly contributions to the literature. The award comes with a £1,000 prize and funded attendance to the 2017 Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation annual Reputation Symposium, to be held 30 August -1 September 2017 at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. The winner is invited to participate in a workshop for emerging scholars at the Symposium, which will be led by distinguished researchers in the field.

To be eligible, a dissertation must have been completed at an accredited university in 2016 and provide significant scholarly insight into a key aspect of corporate reputation. Scholars from all disciplines and methodologies are welcome. A committee of scholars affiliated with the Centre will select the winner. To apply, the dissertation’s author should submit (PDF format preferred):

  1. Dissertation summary of five pages maximum (excluding references)
  2. Complete copy of final dissertation
  3. Current CV
  4. Letter of recommendation from dissertation adviser (or similar), specifying in detail the significance of the dissertation’s contribution to the literature on corporate reputation

Applications lacking all four components, or those received after the submission deadline, will not be eligible.
