Faculty members in the Organisational studies group teach across the full range of undergraduate, MBA, research degree and executive education programmes. Courses which members of the group run, or, which they contribute include:

Leadership Fundamentals

This core MBA course is designed to help students meet the challenge of leading individuals and groups effectively. It does this in three ways: First, it provides students with a framework for managing individual and group performance; second, it helps students understand and acquire critical leadership skills required to shape and manage the behaviour of people in organisations; and third, it gives students the opportunity to explore the relevance and usefulness of the concepts and management practices discussed in class.

Theory and Practice of Negotiation

This MBA elective is intended to develop the understanding, knowledge and skill needed to undertake efficient and effective of negotiation in a business context. Practical learning of negotiation skills is affected via a series of role play simulations of realistic negotiation scenarios.

Managing Professional Relationships

This MBA elective is designed to help future leaders think and act effectively to build high quality relationships with others and to minimise damage from low quality, corrosive relationships at work. Successful leaders are skilled at understanding, managing and leveraging high quality relationships with others in organisations and across organisational boundaries. In so doing, they build relational cultures that generate and sustain energy, facilitate the speed and quality of learning, and enable individual growth and adaptation to change.

High Performance Leadership Programme

This programme is aimed at senior managers wanting to understand and develop their personal leadership strengths. It is based on a view of effective leadership as involving a set of key relational competences, and draws on the cutting-edge research of OS group members to deepen participants’ self-awareness and increase their competence in these critical leadership domains.

Oxford Diploma in Organisational Leadership

This master’s level diploma is intended for senior executives who aspire to board-level positions.  It is taught in four modules, covering organisational development, organisational design, strategy and leadership, respectively.

Consulting and Coaching for Change

Individuals who enable or implement change must be coaches, consultants, leaders, managers, navigators and facilitators. Theoretically informed and practically grounded, this programme equips senior executives to deal with change in organisations and the challenges it poses for individuals.
