Avery Bang

Avery Bang

Managing Director, 2016-17
Avery spent the past eight years leading diverse teams around the world, and as CEO of Bridges to Prosperity, developing operations that reached nearly one million people in rural communities.
David Crowley
David Crowley spent 11 years working in financial services, of which nine were as Portfolio Manager of a global macro fund at a family office based in London.
Robyn Fukumoto
Robyn spent the last six years connecting brands with consumers. She has launched UNICEF’s first global campaign combating child violence, advised on audience strategy for Capital One’s brokerage platform, and carved out NBC’s social media strategy across networks.
Alex Helpenstell
Alex brings an extensive background in private equity and portfolio management. Alex joins the Oxford Seed Fund as a former Senior Financial Analyst at Joshua Green Corporation, a Seattle-based private equity firm.
Jayanth Kashyap
Jayanth has an impact investing and emerging markets background. Most recently as Associate Manager (Finance Services) at Ennovent, Jayanth supported investments through its €2M seed-stage Impact Investment Holding fund (IIH), advising clients on multiple market development investment programs.
Michael Tefula
Michael comes from a corporate finance, private equity, and venture capital background. He is a chartered accountant by training. Michael also is a published author with entrepreneurship experience.
Ashley Thomas
Ashley has spent the last seven years working in East and Southern Africa designing, manufacturing and selling products for bottom-of-the-pyramid customers. During this time, she has developed and sold over 200,000 products, providing clean water and energy to over 2 million people in 7 different countries.
Brad Vanderford
Brad has experience in venture capital and international economic development. In his previous role as a Director at Sinapis, Brad accelerated 500 entrepreneurs raising $16M and creating 1,500 jobs.
Jothan Webb
Jothan started his career in trading in London before founding GraduRates, a peer-to-peer loans platform that was acquired by market leader Ratesetter in 2015. Most recently, Jothan advised on deals at SeedNet ventures, and supported entrepreneurs via the Virgin Startup mentoring programme.
Weiyue Wu
Prior to Oxford, Weiyue was a founding team member at PerceptIn, a robotic start-up in Silicon Valley, where she brought her financial, commercial, and operational experience. Weiyue is also a Project Advisor in the ARM Accelerator, focused on smart hardware and Internet of Things (IoT).
Zihan Xu
While completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago, Zihan co-founded an app-development and digital consulting firm. After raising two rounds of funding, Zihan and his team relocated operations to Shanghai and was later acquired.
