Entrepreneurship Centre

FAQs

Are your events open to people outside the University?

YES! The Entrepreneurship Centre offers courses and events for both Oxford University students and the general public. For example, our lecture series Building a Business is open to all current University of Oxford members and alumni, as well as anyone interested in starting their own venture.

How can I get involved with the Centre?

Talk to us! If you would like to get involved with our activities whether as a sponsor, a Resident Expert, an advisor, or as a speaker at one of our events then we would be very pleased to hear from you. Please email us.

I am an alumnus entrepreneur, how can I connect with you?

We're always delighted to hear from our entrepreneurial alumnus. Please get in touch with us by email

Do you provide early stage investment?

The Oxford Seed Fund is a student-led fund that invests up to £50k in early-stage ventures founded by Oxford students and alumni. Established in 2012, the Seed Fund's portfolio of companies has grown, and a few notables have gone on to secure significant further investment. Seed Fund applications usually open in December/January.

How does the Centre contribute to the MBA/EMBA curriculum?

The Centre delivers an integral part of the Oxford MBA and EMBA programme: the Entrepreneurship Project.  Participants have to develop a full business plan and present it to a panel of invited investors and practitioners.

Completed plans must be attractive to the professional investor. For students already running a business, this is a great chance to develop new products or business models and have them rigorously evaluated.
