Oxford Business Forum Africa 2018
Held on 9-10 March 2018, and hosted jointly by Saïd Business School and the Oxford Business Network for Africa, the brings together distinguished leaders from top companies, innovative start-ups, government, and civil society from across Africa with thought leaders, students, and alumni from Oxford University to discuss business in Africa. The Oxford Business Network for Africa is a student led group created to organise and channel the substantial interest in business in Africa amongst Oxford students, alumni and faculty.
(Re)defining the African Consumer
There is an emerging narrative that the African growth story is overstated and the opportunity is fragmented, with economies still overly reliant on natural resources for growth. The Oxford Business Forum Africa 2018 is aimed at deconstructing opposing perspectives of the consumer market on the continent, analysing the size of the prize of emerging trends, and delivering actionable insights to seize the opportunity; in doing so, (Re)defining the African Consumer. Convening over 350 delegates and a number of high profile speakers, the 2018 Forum will offer unrivaled insight into business on the continent from the boldest innovators and decision makers in Africa. A gala dinner will open the Forum on Friday 9 March at one of Oxford’s historic colleges, followed by a one-day forum on Saturday 10 March at Oxford Saïd.
