Lunchtime talk: Patrick Nathen, Co-founder, Lilium Aviation

About the event

It’s difficult not to get over enthusiastic when thinking about flying cars - in the end, who wouldn’t want to at least try out a Jetsons car?

Join us this Friday for a lunchtime talk with Patrick Nathen, Co-founder of Lilium Aviation and oNetwork Entrepreneurship Expert. Patrick will be presenting the Lilium jet story and also share insights from his entrepreneurial journey.

Lilium, the Munich-based startup developing an on-demand “air taxi” service, isn’t in the aircraft design and manufacturing business, but sees itself as a fully vertical mobility-as-a-service company, similar to an Uber of the skies. The company has raised over $100M to date and recently unveiled a new five-seater prototype, announcing to the world that a maiden flight for the new device was successfully completed in May. With a top speed of 300 km/h and a range of 300 km, Lilium claims its jet is capable of completing much longer journeys than the majority of its competitors. Lilium is backed by Tencent; LGT, the international private banking and asset management group; Atomico, Lilium’s Series A backer founded by Skype co-founder Niklas Zennström; and Obvious Ventures, the early-stage VC fund co-founded by Twitter’s Ev Williams.
