Cultivating system leaders for an age of pandemics. Using the lens of leadership lessons from the Covid-19 pandemic

About the event

A critical conversation engaging leaders to explore the knowledge, skills and attitudes that define system leaders we need for the future.

In a crisis, leadership matters. But as the Covid-19 pandemic exposed the fragility of our social and economic systems, it also laid bare that our traditional conceptions of leadership are no longer fit for purpose. A year on, the responses from governments, businesses, and communities demonstrated a multitude of leadership styles. Where have we got it right and where have things gone dangerously wrong? How can we reimagine leadership for an age of pandemics?

In this session we engage in a critical conversation about the current leadership crisis. Considering perspectives of current leaders and those who train leaders, we explore the knowledge, skills and attitudes that define the system leaders we need for this decisive decade.
