Anna is a DPhil candidate in Financial Economics since 2013 and has been awarded the Saïd Business School Foundation DPhil Scholarship. Anna conducts her research under the supervision of Mungo Wilson and Ilaria Piatti. Anna is a member of Merton College.
Prior to starting her doctorate, Anna obtained her MSc in Quantitative Finance from the University of Zurich and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. She holds a Diploma in Mathematical Methods from the State University of Management in Moscow. After finishing her first degree Anna spent two years in financial consulting industry, working as a risk analyst.
Anna's research interests are primarily in the field of empirical and theoretical asset pricing and macro-finance. Her current research is about the role of inside money creation for asset returns and levels of economy-wide leverage. She is also interested in market efficiency and market anomalies.
