Abrar Chaudhury is a doctoral candidate at the Environmental Change Institute, he is co-supervised by Dr Marc Ventresca at Saïd Business School.
Abrar is part of a multidisciplinary team conducting an integrated program of research into resilience and adaptive capacity of food systems to climate change across social, political-institutional, economic and environmental scales and levels. Abrar is taking the lead on the economic lens of the research. The research is spread over three countries starting with Nepal (2012), East Africa (2013) and West Africa (2013). The program will produce site-specific contextual insights as well as draw out scalable and replicable features which can guide regional, national and international policy, planning and decision-making processes. The ultimate outcome is a systemic framework for integrated adaptation planning.
