Senior Programme Manager
Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 p.a.
We are seeking to recruit a full-time Senior Programme Manager to join Oxford Saïd’s Student and Programme Services (SPS) unit of professional staff, responsible for providing seamless quality in the delivery of the student experience and incorporates Admissions, Full-time and Executive Degrees, Student Welfare and Career Development. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly professional individual to support the School’s degree programmes including MBA, 1+1 MBA, MFE, DPhil and Undergraduate, making significant contributions to student experience.
Reporting to the Head of Degree Programmes, you will be responsible for delivery of one or more of the School’s degree programmes with line management/supervision responsibilities for junior members of the team. You will be accountable for ensuring that all students on the programmes receive outstanding customer service and flawless logistical arrangements. This is a responsible, demanding and pivotal role requiring the post holder to be an extremely organised individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, confidentiality and a good team ethic, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
As Senior Programme Manager, you will champion the programmes to a wide range of audiences and maintain a positive and engaged relationship with multinational and highly articulate students and a varied range of internal and external stakeholders. You will lead and manage and perform complex administrative coordination, collaborating with colleagues, and stakeholders internally (e.g. Programme Directors, Faculty, Admissions, Careers, Catering, Facilities, Student Welfare, Alumni Relations, Marketing) and externally (University Colleagues, Examinations School, targeted Alumni, scholarship funders and external sponsors of student projects and internships) to ensure the quality of the World-Class student experience. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills and an ability to work with a diverse range of people are essential to perform in this role.
To be considered at shortlisting you will have programme management and/or project management experience in a complex organisation as well as excellent customer service skills and a professional manner with the ability to confidently build rapport with wide range of people within and beyond the University. You should have demonstrable ability to work to tight, demanding deadlines without compromising on quality. Accuracy and attention to detail is vital as well as the confidence to work on your own initiative.
