Are you an experienced Marketing and Communications professional looking for a new challenge in 2019? We are looking for a proactive, fast paced and talented Head of Marketing and Communications to join our brilliant team at Oxford Foundry on a fixed-term contract to December 2020.
The Foundry is a start-up, as the University’s new entrepreneurship centre and only a year old. The Foundry is scaling at a rapid pace, and it is vital to ensure we build our information sharing and communications capacity amongst our key audiences including students, staff, alumni, colleges, departments, divisions, the broader entrepreneurial eco-system at Oxford, entrepreneurs, advisors and prospective partners and donors.
We are introducing new technologies and initiatives, evolving our communications channels and launching a number of big-ticket projects and programmes – all of which require communicating to our internal and external stakeholders. We are therefore seeking an experienced and driven individual to help us achieve our ambitions and build an informed and motivating communications culture, including building and developing internal and external communications processes.
The Head of Marketing and Communications will lead on the creation and delivery of communication and engagement plans to support the brand and communications strategies of the Oxford Foundry. Responsible for supporting the Director in influencing senior stakeholders on best practice communication approaches and tactics, the role holder will develop and deliver tools to support programme and project specific engagement activities, as well as ‘business as usual’ communications. A key objective will be to align specific messaging to the broader ‘Oxford Foundry story’ and strategy. Developing the Foundry’s wider content strategy will also form part of this role in addition to initiating and managing the communications strategies for all programmes.
Reporting into the Oxford Foundry Director, the Head of Marketing and Communications will be a senior member of the Marketing and Communications team, working with colleagues in other functions to ensure all communications and marketing activities are disseminated effectively. The Head of Marketing and Communications will also work closely with the Director and Foundry team to ensure key strategic messages are disseminated to and understood by all current and future stakeholders of the Foundry community and additionally will lead a small team.
