Apprentice Faculty Services Assistant
Apprentice Grade 1: £17,079 p.a. (salary progression through successful completion of programme)
You will work as an Apprentice Faculty Services Assistant within the Faculty Services team at Saïd Business School. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team and to gain practical experience and training. The main purpose of this role is to provide general administrative support to the Researcher Officer and the Academic Area Administrators.
In the role, you will learn a variety of tasks including how to respond to enquiries, arrange inductions for new starters, and assist with organising materials and venues for recruitment meetings and events. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wants to develop essential administration tasks within a Higher Education setting and work within a busy team.
The apprenticeship includes an initial 18-month training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods delivered by Abingdon & Witney College. You will complete a Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship and you will gain a Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration qualification. There may also be the opportunity to complete the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship that would take a further 18 months to complete.
College attendance and successful completion of these studies is an essential requirement of this Apprenticeship.
You should be educated to GCSE standard (English and Maths grade 4 or above) or equivalent. The position involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing your skills.
