Impact Pledge

Together, we can transform tomorrow.

Oxford Saïd Is proud to boast a robust entrepreneurial community, including investors and founders, who want to make a transformational difference. The Oxford Business Impact Pledge enables those who are engaged in building start-ups to leave a unique mark on the School by gifting a chosen percentage of their personal income when they reach liquidity with their companies. Your pledge can offer you exclusive benefits and access to different  communities within the School - all while supporting the leaders of tomorrow.

Why support the School?

The Impact Pledge allows me to make an impact, when the time is right, to a School which has been inspirational to me and is committed to tackling some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

What happens next?

When you’re ready to fulfil your pledge, our team will work with you to allocate your gift for maximum impact, aligning with your philanthropic interests. We also welcome the opportunity to recognise your generosity:

Maybe you have questions, let’s see if we can answer them here:

  • Is there a minimum commitment? We ask for a minimum pledge of 2%.
  • Is Oxford Saïd a registered charity? Saïd Business School is a registered non for profit organisation.
  • What type of projects could I support? Scholarships, teaching and research, entrepreneurship activity, building and environment projects. Read our Impact of Your Giving, 18-19 report to learn more about the projects our donors are supporting.
  • What are the tax implications? The University of Oxford Development Trust (OUDT) is an unincorporated charitable trust, number XN80595, meaning that your gift is eligible for tax-efficient giving and can accommodate dual taxation. Making the pledge itself has no tax implications on the value of your investment.
  • It’s your choice: You do not need board or investors approval to sign the pledge. This is a personal commitment from you. The donations of the pledge come from your personal proceeds from when you liquidated your shares.
  • Equity: You remain the owner of the equity. If you don’t exit the business or make money from liquidating your shares, your pledge is void and nothing is owed.
