Alison McArthur

Alison McArthur

Host

I grew up in Jersey, CI, and worked as a lawyer in London before coming to Oxford. The MBA programme has given me the opportunity to meet fascinating people with a diverse range of experiences and expertise – from fellow students, to leading academics, to business leaders – all of whom have insights that are too good not to share!

I believe that having a wide understanding of how the business world works is essential to making sense of the world we are currently living in, and the direction in which our society is moving. But it is not all serious – our conversations touch on the personal, the humorous, and the emotional, and always leave you with a new perspective. I hope you enjoy the podcast as much as we have enjoyed making it.

Laura Koran

Producer and Editor

I’m originally from the U.S., but lived the 'diplo-brat' life growing up – moving from country to country every few years.

Just before coming to Oxford, I was a producer for CNN in Washington, DC. I joined the podcast so I could continue to tell interesting and impactful stories, and because I love podcasts! I’m excited to bring thought-provoking interviews to my classmates at Oxford, and to the wider community.

Producer and Marketing

I’m an engineer turned marketer from India and have worked at and built start-ups in Ed-Tech, E-Commerce and Dating industries.

As a high-frequency user of podcasts, I have been hooked on to podcasts such as a 16z, Ponzi Supernova and Planet money among many others. The theme of our podcast, 'Future of Business', intrigued me to join the team – leading to learning and exploring the present and future across different businesses.

Producer and Marketing

Over the last 8 years, I’ve worked in a variety of different roles related to strategy and communications across corporate and non-profit organizations. Most recently, I worked on designing the organizational framework and strategy for the Frost & Sullivan Institute, the non-profit arm of consulting firm Frost & Sullivan. I’ve also led content development for international summits on topics related to global economic development, business strategy, globalization, emerging markets, and international trade.

I have been a keen consumer of podcasts on topics that range from politics to productivity, and am thrilled to be part of the MBA podcast team covering the many interesting dimensions of the current business environment.

Charlie Wilkinson

Charlie Wilkinson

Producer and Editor

I am a New Zealander with a passion for content and podcasts. As students at SBS, we are lucky to hear from some amazing thought leaders as they explore what business will look like in the future. The podcast is a great way to share these conversations with a wider audience.

I help produce the episodes as they wouldn’t let me interview any of the guests with my thick Kiwi accent.
