Matthew’s focus is on helping organisations to deliver major infrastructure projects that are transformational and provide value for money to the public.
He believes passionately in the importance of equipping organisations and individuals with the skills and capability to deliver positive societal impact and public value. His focus is bringing together expertise from across Oxford to help raise the levels of infrastructure delivery around the world.
He works with clients around the world to help them to design executive programmes that improve their capability to successfully execute public policy. This includes leadership and strategy interventions for government officials and senior civil servants, as well as solutions bringing together diverse stakeholders to learn from each other and drive positive change.
He is focussed on building the school’s global impact in the major programme space and has worked with organisations from Australia to Malaysia, Latin America, and Europe. He is currently working closely with the British Civil Service on a major intervention to raise the levels of leadership capability in government roles that look after the UK’s largest and most complex transformational projects.
Matthew joined Oxford in 2012, and after five years of leading the growth of the school's executive degree programmes, he moved to the Custom Executive Education team as a Client Director.
He holds degrees in Modern Languages from the University of Manchester and in Sustainability from Kingston University, London and wrote his master’s thesis on Infrastructure Planning in the UK.
