Magdalena Plesa is a Doctoral Researcher in Management Studies at Said Business School, University of Oxford and the Graduate Common Room President at Green Templeton College.

Expertise:

  • Social Enterprises
  • Hybrid Organizations
  • Dehybridization

Research

Magdalena is researching the dehybridisation of social enterprises. Social enterprises are hybrid organisations since they embody both a social and profit mission at their core. Her research focuses on what happens when one of these missions takes over and the hybrid organisation transforms to a charity or for-profit organisation.

Magdalena is funded by a Green Templeton College TECT fund (Templeton Education and Charity Trust), the Saïd Business School Foundation and a Saïd Business School DPhil Scholarship. She is under the supervision of Tom Lawrence and Alex Nicholls.
