Jonathan is a DPhil candidate in Law at the University of Oxford, focusing on corporate law, governance, and financial regulation.
Jonathan's research investigates the convergence of corporate governance rules in North America and Europe, and the role of financial intermediaries in shaping these rules.
In his work for the Ford Foundation-funded Ownership Project at Oxford Saïd, Jonathan is exploring the role of institutional investors on firm purpose and performance, as well as the relationship between family business goals and family firm governance.
Jonathan was formerly based in Toronto, Canada, where he practised law in private M&A and securities with a leading Canadian corporate law firm.
Jonathan completed an MSc in Law and Finance with distinction at the University of Oxford (Lincoln College), and received a Juris Doctor (Law) and Hons B.A. (History & Political Science) from the University of Toronto.
