Jason Bell works under the Future of Marketing Initiative and studies the marketing of new products.
Jason researches new product development, especially durable goods. He uses Bayesian econometrics to model consumer demand and competitive equilibria. In addition, he has a growing interest and skill set in Natural Language Processing with applications in computational creativity, automated idea evaluation, and market opportunity discovery. Jason cares deeply about applications of research and regularly interfaces with practitioners.
Jason has an MS in Economics and a PhD in Marketing, both from the University of Iowa.
